PROCEEDINGS OF THE ARISTOTELIAN SOCIETY, VOLUME CXII - PROGRAMME FOR THE 133RD SESSION - 2011/2012

New Editor - Matthew Soteriou (Warwick) / ABOUT: Since 1880, the Aristotelian Society has met fortnightly in London to hear and discuss talks in philosophy. Eight years after its founding, the decision was made to publish the talks in the "Proceedings of the Aristotelian Society." / The upcoming academic year marks the 133rd Session of the Proceedings (112th Volume). Following tradition, the Session will be inaugurated by the incoming President of the Society. Starting with the Presidential Address, the Society is very happy to announce that the talks for the 133rd Session will be made freely available as audio podcasts. We will circulate further details regarding the podcasts within the coming weeks.

The Address marks the official inauguration of the 104th President of the Aristotelian Society: Professor Marie McGinn of the University of East Anglia. It will be chaired by the Society's outgoing President: Professor Quassim Cassam of the University of Warwick. The Address will be followed by a wine reception in the Grand Lobby of Chancellor's Hall (details TBC). A draft paper of the Address as well as podcasting details will be available in the coming weeks.

THE PROGRAMME

Talks for the 133rd Session will be chaired by the new President, Professor Marie McGinn, and will take place at the usual time and location: from 16.15  - 18.00 in the Woburn Suite (G22/26) of Senate House - University of London.
