Second Call for Papers for the Philosophy Society of South Africa (PSSA) Conference, 16-18 January, 2012. The conference is organised and hosted by the Department of Philosophy at the University of Cape Town, where it will be held. The conference has no theme, and papers in all areas of philosophy are welcome from members and non-members of the PSSA. Depending on applications, some papers may be organised along the lines of 'subject streams'. There will be a reasonable conference fee; student reductions normally apply. Abstracts of 500 words should reach the conference organisers as soon as possible, but no later than 30 September 2011, to the following address: PSSA2012@gmail.com . The South African Journal of Philosophy (SAJP) will be dedicating an issue to peer reviewed proceedings of the 2011-PSSA Conference. Please submit papers of 5000-60000 words in lenght to the editor of the SAJP, Abraham Olivier (aolivier@ufh.ac.za). Indicate that the submission is intended for the PSSA proceedings volume. The deadline for submissions is 31 January, 2012.
