One-day conference for Philosophy Sixth form teachers

This is just to give you advanced notice that the University of Sussex will be holding its biannual conference for Philosophy School Teachers on Wednesday June 13th.

This conference will offer a day of Philosophy research talks, from specialists in the field. Attendance is free of charge.
Topics chosen will aim to remain relevant to the curriculum, whilst focusing on issues in more depth than is normally appropriate for school pupils. Participants will be encouraged to take part in discussion and to respond critically to the content of the talks. This will be an opportunity for Philosophy teachers to interact with fellow Philosophers, to meet peers and to share with them their experiences of teaching Philosophy to school pupils, and the particular challenges it raises. There will also be a Q&A session about choosing Philosophy as a degree subject at University.
Further details will be posted on site as and when we get them.
