DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: April 15, 2012
This year the Italian Society for Analytic Philosophy (SIFA) will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a National Conference that will be held in Alghero (in Sardinia), September 13-15, 2012. The Conference will offer an occasion for discussion of many themes of research in analytic philosophy. We invite submissions on the following areas: Philosophy of language, Metaphysics, Epistemology, Ethics and metaethics, Philosophy of science, Philosophy of logic, Philosophy of mathematics, Philosophy of law, Political philosophy, Philosophy of mind, Aesthetics, Philosophy of religion, History of philosophy, History of science.

SUBMISSIONS
Contributors will have 40 minutes, ideally divided into 30 minutes of exposition and 10 minutes of discussion. The languages of the conference are English and Italian. Those wishing to make a presentation should submit:
A short abstract (about 200 words)
A long abstract (1000-1500 words)
Long abstract should be thoroughly prepared for blind refereeing, with any and all revealing references to the author removed, including personal acknowledgments.
Both short and long abstracts should be submitted electronically using the EasyChair submission page at:

Abstracts will be subject to double blind refereeing and acceptance will be notified by May 15, 2012.

REGISTRATION
Participation in the conference is subject to a registration fee and to the payment of the SIFA membership.
If paid BEFORE July 15, 2012:
50 (conference fee) + 50 euros (SIFA): permanent faculty
30 (conference fee) + 25 (SIFA) euros: others
If paid AFTER July 31, 2012:
80 (conference fee) + 50 (SIFA) euros: permanent faculty
50 (conference fee) + 25 (SIFA) euros: others

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Alghero is a town of Catalan origin right on the Sardinian Sea (one of the most beautiful Italian towns: http://www.alghero-turismo.it/Default.asp?l=en). It is served by low-coast airlines and it has many not expensive accommodations. Check the Conference website in few weeks for all the practical information.
