PhD Program in Cognitive Neuroscience and Philosophy of Mind San Raffaele University Milan / IUSS Pavia (8 positions available)


A call for *8 three-year PhD positions* is available for the PhD Program in *Cognitive Neuroscience and Philosophy of MInd* promoted in collaboration between Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan and the Institute of Advanced Studies (IUSS) in Pavia, and directed by prof. Andrea Moro. The PhD program is part of the PhD School in Philosophy and Science of the Mind of San Raffaele University, directed by prof. Michele Di Francesco (http://www.unisr.it/view.asp?id=7484).

The major research areas are neurophilosophy and cognitive neurosciences, with a particular attention to linguistics and the philosophy of language and mind. Projects can be submitted in many areas for which the interplay between philosophical thought and scientific and experimental inquiry is relevant. Positions are open for students with a degree in several areas, e.g. philosophy, psychology, linguistics, biology, medicine, information technologies, economics. Personal colloquia, seminars, and PhD activities in general will be held in English.

*Eight* positions are available, *four* of which will be covered by a grant of 16.000 euros each (gross yearly amount).
