One PhD Position in Theoretical Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy from Stockholm University

The Department of Philosophy, Stockholm University, has one vacant PhD position in theoretical philosophy. The duration of the position is four years. The position is available from 2012-01-20. The expected starting salary is 21 600 SEK/month. Briefly stated, theoretical philosophy includes logic, epistemology, philosophy of science, philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, and metaphysics. Decision theory and philosophy of action, as well as history of philosophy, are included in both practical and theoretical philosophy.

Please note that admission for PhD studies in philosophy at Stockholm University is highly competitive. A graduate degree in philosophy (i.e., 60 higher education credits at graduate level) or equivalent at the time of application is required for eligibility. It is expected that the Department will make the decision November 2011. Applications will not be returned and unsuccessful candidates will not be notified.
