Areas of work: The successful candidate will actively collaborate in research, teaching and administration at the Department of Philosophy in the field of Practical Philosophy. The professorship for Ethics with special emphasis on Applied Ethics of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Angela Kallhoff covers frontier-research in Practical Philosophy and Applied Ethics including the following areas of work:System and History of Ethics, basic questions of Practical Philosophy and Applied Ethics.The main goal of this position will be to produce a Dissertation ready for publishing within the field respectively foci of research mentioned above.
Profile:- graduated in Philosophy (academic diploma degree equivalent to Magister) - excellent marks - profound knowledge of Ethics and/or Applied Ethics- Organisational skills and team-spiritWillingness to acquire good command of German within three years sufficient to hold classes for Bachelor and Master students and contributions to the boards of university Favorable additional assets:- publications and research talks relevant for Ethics or Practical Philosophy and/or applied Ethics, preferrably in international context (including tutorships etc. as far as already acquired)- first experience in organisation of research projects (assistant to meeting, events, publications etc.)Applicants are required to submit: letter of motivation, scientific curriculum (including copies of academic certificates and documents), one sample of your master thesis, if available list of publications and research talks, description of your PhD thesis (approx. 900 words with draft outline and listing of the most significant contributions to the topic), two letters of recommendation.
