The Philosophy Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is excited to announce the second biennial Philosophy of Biology @ Madison Workshop (“POBAM”), which will take place from June 1st through June 3rd, 2012. The keynote speaker for the 2012 workshop will be Biologist Allen Orr (Rochester). The workshop is designed to provide a biennial forum for new work in the philosophy of biology. A call for abstracts will follow, and the online submission system will open later this summer. The deadline for submitting an abstract for the program committee to consider will be September 30, 2011.
