The Department of Philosophy at King's College London is interested in supporting suitable applicants for the 2012-2013 Bristish Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme. The aim of this scheme is "is to offer opportunities for outstanding early career researchers to strengthen their experience of research and teaching".

The scheme places emphasis "on completion of a significant piece of publishable research, which will be assisted by full membership of an academic community of established scholars working in similar fields". The Department at King's is one of the largest and most distinguished in the country, with twenty six permanent members of staff, including six new appointments this year, plus nine current postdoctoral fellows. The Department was ranked in the top three in the country in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.
