DESCRIPTION: Applicants are invited for this position in the Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies. Primary responsibilities will include the teaching of an undergraduate course in the Philosophy of Science (three sections per semester), as well as a course in Philosophy of Medicine. Ability to cover courses in Modern and Contemporary World Philosophy, Logic, Introduction to Philosophy and Epistemology or American Philosophy. Four courses per semester. Not more than three preparations per semester.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Philosophy, with specialization in Philosophy of Science, and strong competence in the Philosophy of Medicine and history of modern and contemporary philosophy. Excellent teaching and communications skills, commitment to undergraduate education, some scholarly activity.

The Department of Philosophy and Religion presently consists of three philosophy and two religion professors, and one three-quarter time philosophy professor. We offer a major in philosophy and religion, a minor in philosophy, a minor in philosophy and religion studies, a concentration in ethics, and a concentration in philosophy and religion studies.
